Children's Autism Services of Edmonton is seeking a permanent, full-time Behaviour Consultant to join our dynamic and growing organization. We provide family centered in-home and classroom based services to meet the needs of families and children who have autism and other developmental disorders.
- Behaviour Consultants working with our organization:_
- Provide consultation regarding behavioral issues interfering with development, learning and safety
- Operate from a developmental and trauma-informed approach to emotional-behaviour challenges
- Use assessment tools and intervention planning from the SCERTS® model
- Complete functional behavior assessments
- Create individualized regulation and/or behavior plans
- Support caregivers and education teams to implement plans
- Provide caregiver education in individual and group formats
- Monitor goals and plans
- Write reports and maintaining client files

- To apply, you must have:_
- A Masters or Undergraduate Degree in a related field, such as: Education, Psychology, Disability Studies, Child and Youth Development, Nursing or Applied Behavior Sciences
- Experience in providing consultation in homes and schools with pediatric clients
- Your own vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion and commitment for working with children and their families
- All hires must provide a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention check and Standard First Aid & level-C CPR

Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Masters Level education.
