**Position Overview**

As the Administrative Assistant at Bridgepark Manor, you will play a vital role in providing support to our organization's administrative functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our daily administrative processes.

Your key tasks will encompass a diverse range of duties, including but not limited to professional public relations, maintaining organized records, executing general administrative tasks, handling basic bookkeeping and utilizing desktop publishing skills when required.

In this position, we expect you to demonstrate a proactive and self-driven approach to your work. You will have the autonomy to prioritize tasks and exercise sound judgment when determining appropriate work methods and actions to be taken. Your contribution to the team will be crucial in ensuring that our office functions effectively and efficiently.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.

**Job Duties**
- Provide reception coverage and administrative support to the CEO and other managers
- Maintain a professional office environment in keeping with the organizational Mission
- Prepare information packages, life lease packages and mailings for the organization, as requested
- Prepare outgoing and distribute incoming mail
- Maintain policy manual, including making updates and coordinating the distribution of changes
- Assist in organizing the daily housekeeping schedule
- Prepare posters and newsletters
- Maintain and update the Bridgepark website
- Maintain accounts receivable records, including receiving electronic payments, performing monthly CAFT upload and preparing/making deposits
- Attendance of meetings, as requested
- Performs other duties, as assigned

**Experience**
- Minimum one (1) year of administrative experience, including thorough knowledge of general office practices and/or significant experience in office administration.

**Education/Certification**
- Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Assistant Program, business program or equivalent is required.
- Basic knowledge of accounting procedures, knowledge of QuickBooks Online is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of WordPress CMS is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and personal access to a vehicle is required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Keyboarding speed: 55 wpm
- Knowledge and experience working with office equipment
- Ability to manage general office supplies and equipment
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and take initiative to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (English language)
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as part of a team
- Must possess tact and diplomacy, a friendly disposition and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with accuracy in a mature and professional manner
- Must possess the physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position

Bridgepark Manor is owned and operated by a local community-based nonprofit organization called Bridgepark Manor Inc. Residents of Bridgepark Manor receive support services, including two meals per day, weekly housekeeping, planned activities, spiritual care and a personal security device-all as part of an overall strategy to support and enhance independent and healthy living.
