**Position Description**:

The Media Specialist provides a host of media services to St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, and its partners in the Foundation, Research and System. Through consultations with clients, services include the creation of compelling images and videos that tell the St. Joe’s story, as well as audio/visual support for events, meetings and other activities.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 2 to 3 year post-secondary diploma in television production or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years recent experience providing audio visual services to a medium to large corporation.
- Advanced skill level in Non-linear editing platforms.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of audio visual equipment: video and digital cameras, computer projectors, scanners and non linear editing systems.
- Aptitude for creative solutions and technical problem solving.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships while handling multiple tasks and meeting strict deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with superior oral and written communication skills with demonstrated grammatical aptitude, good spelling and punctuation.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to set own priorities and work with mínimal supervision.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides audio visual services by consulting with clients, producing compelling photographs and videos, and associated production work, including editing and duplicating, to support telling the story of St. Joe’s and its people.
- Provides advice, guidance and creative solutions to ensure an innovative and effective audio-visual service.
- Produces audio visual programs by taping, editing and dubbing, as well as setup and support for recording/video of online conference meetings, and equipment care/inventory for conference rooms.
- Esures all equipment is properly maintained and service warranties are kept up-to-date.
- Maintains inventory control of equipment and related supplies.
- Provides audio visual support for events, conferences and meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Meets deadlines in assisting with special projects, administrative functions, and educational activities.
- Obligation to review and commit to applicable departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
