Who we need:
Reporting to the Associate Dean, Bachelor of Business Administration, the Sessional Faculty member is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses for the Bachelor of Business Administration, designing learning activities and assessing student performance, in alignment with our mission of championing student success. They will facilitate undergraduate courses in one or more specific program areas as follows**:Economics, Accounting & Finance, Project Management Marketing, Math, Management & Business, Supply Chain and Operations. **_The Adjunct Faculty will be required to work on-site at the Concord Campus located at 2000 Steeles Ave. W. beginning in the Spring term (_**_April 8_**_th_**_, 2024_**_). _Classes run Monday to Thursday 9AM-9PM, Friday to Sunday 9AM-6PM and are assigned based on availability.

What you will do:

- Provides timely, constructive feedback and evaluates learning using a variety of effective assessment mechanisms.
- Implements inclusive teaching practices that anticipate, value, and respond to the diversity of learner needs and experiences.
- Engages in reflective practice and on-going professional development, leveraging information from various sources, including student evaluations of learning, to identify areas for growth as an educator.
- Uses the University’s LMS Moodle, classroom technologies and other digital resources to support teaching and learning.
- Cooperates with administrators and colleagues to advance priorities of academic areas to enhance the YEC community.
- Attends and contributes productively to meetings, and other relevant YEC events.
- Acts as an ambassador for the staff and faculty, contributing to the promotion of core values, distinctive capabilities and a positive culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness.
- Upholds the integrity of academic and university policies and complies with provincial and federal legislation.

What you bring:

- **Master’s degree in a business-related discipline in combination with a PMP / CFA / ACCA / CPA or other specialized certification.**:

- ** A doctoral degree (PhD, DBA, or equivalent) is preferred**:

- ** At minimum 3 years of teaching experience (on-site preferred)**:

- Demonstrated experience in academia, teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, professional and or disciplinary expertise, and fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and networking skills, experience in LMS platforms and educational technologies and MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals, exercise mature discretion and maintain confidentiality of student records, etc.
- Teaching experience in relevant discipline at program level, experience with mature, international and/or diverse learners preferred
- Industry experience and inter-disciplinary expertise is preferred
