Collector - Account Manager

**Freedom Rent To Own has a full time Collector - Account Manager position available immediately.**
As one of two In-store employees, your primary duty is that of Collections - Client Retention. Your secondary duty is to assist with Sales, Inventory Management, and the normal day to day of the store.
**Collections - Client Retention**
- Ensure customers maintain a positive payment relationship with our company
- Daily reminder calls of 1 - 30’s (soft collections)
- Skip Tracing & Locating of Trace accounts as needed
- “Know your customer” and use appropriate collection techniques. Each scenario is different and requires a different tactic
- Grow sales by converting delinquent customers back into current customers through daily management of overdue accounts.
- Managing the legal process at court as required
**Sales**
- Promote sales growth by providing excellent customer service and creating longstanding relationships with customers
- Selling home furnishing and electronics *contracts* to new and existing Rent to Own customers & Home Staging clients.
- Assessing credit worthiness of applicants
**Inventory Management**
- Assist with store merchandising, ordering product as needed.
- Our showroom is active inventory - you will be rearranging it weekly.
- Bi-Weekly inventory
- Assisting with showroom inventory displays. Our showroom is active inventory and is rearranged as orders go in and out
- Manage the: assembly, repair, maintenance, and cleaning of inventory as needed
**Remuneration**
- $50,000 ( = $24/hr)

**Required Skills**:
- Previous Collections experience
- Highly organized, tidy, and attention to detail
- Self-starter: excellent at working independently
- Great Memory (excellent service & retention means you remember the customers and their situations)
- Problem solving multi-tasker, able to prioritize tasks

**The Job (Rent To Own)**
- We’re not a normal furniture store. We’re selling Rent to Own Contracts for furniture, electronics, or anything else customers want to rent to own. We: deliver and setup the furniture, provide our own financing, service the items when they need repair, and we manage the payment process during their contract to ensure they keep paying on time. You also manage the drivers and their delivery/pickup schedule.
**The Job (Home Staging)**
- We have a loyal group of Home Stagers that rent furniture for staging vacant homes that are being sold. You will assist in managing the process of: Order picking, contract creation, delivery/pickup and client management for all the home staging Projects. There are no collections with Home Staging, everyone pays in advance.
**The People**
- We’re a culture of Type A overachievers. Our excellent customer service has caused both of Canada’s national chains to leave the Victoria market (in 2018 and 2024) - leaving us as the ONLY Rent to Own store in Victoria. We did this by understanding the customers, having a fun atmosphere, customers that love us, and the killer instinct. We work hard and play hard - serious when we need to be and goofy when we don’t. Even though you have a boss, you’re able to run the store on your own and don’t need anyone micromanaging you because you constantly do what needs to be done without having to be told. You’re one of two in-store staff, so although your primary focus is on Collections, you are also actively involved in Sales, Inventory, showroom setup, ordering product, organizing the drivers, and basically everything else the store needs. Most importantly, you don’t require much supervision, because you’re a confident Type A Overachiever.
