**Position Summary**

Under the direction of the Jordan’s Principle Program Manager, the Jordan’s Principle Case Assistants must have case management experience and experience working with the First Nations children, youth and families. The Jordan’s Principle Case Assistants will be responsible for supporting Jordan’s Principle Advocates while working within a team environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide a variety of services in support of the Jordan’s Principle Advocates when required
- Communicating with families as the first point of contact.
- Responsible for ensuring information is accurate, preparing and maintaining case files and keeping detailed records.
- Responsible for transparency by providing updates to families.
- Ensure that the Jordan’s Principle Advocates have all the necessary documentation required to support requests.
- Coordinating with the Jordan’s Principle team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
- Ability to tracking data.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality according to PHIA standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Experience**
- Administrative Assistant Certificate from a recognized college or technical institute.
- Equivalent combination of education and a minimum of two years (2) years of case management experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work co-operatively as a part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Superior verbal, listening written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrates problem solving, time management and organization skills.
- Knowledge of Jordan’s Principle and the services that is provided to First Nation children and youth.
- Knowledge of child and family services.
- Experience working effectively with First Nation children, youth, and families.
- Knowledge and familiarity of the programs and resources available to First Nations families who are residing in the urban area to offer practical and timely solutions.
- Knowledge of First Nation culture, traditions, attitudes, and socio-economic conditions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of First Nations culture and fluent in a First Nations language would be an asset.
- Adhere to AMC policies, and procedures with specific attention to attendance, and professional ethics.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
- Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
