**Cloud and Network Services**
As Nokia's growth engine, we create value for communication service providers and enterprise customers by leading the transition to cloud-native software and as-a-service delivery models. Our inclusive team of dreamers, doers and disruptors push the limits from impossible to possible.

You will be based in the User Assistance solutions development team in Cloud and Network Services Technology R&D. Our experienced, top-talented team has presence in multiple Nokia locations in North Americas and Europe. This team works in close collaboration with the rest of the Cloud and Network Services technical communication professionals and software developers around the globe. We work in agile mode and in close collaboration with R&D.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

We are looking for a student with past experience, or a keen interest and a good understanding of professional technical communication. You have learned the basics of technical communication either through some hands-on experience or through your studies, with the most common professional authoring tools.
- As a junior member of our team, you will be given tasks in planning, designing, writing, updating and maintaining customer documents. You may also be handling post-delivery defects according to required processes and standards.
- You will cooperate with our experienced team members and R&D teams to plan, design, write and update your documents in compliance with the Nokia tools, processes and quality standards. You will have the opportunity to work with other technical writers across Nokia locations, and with our software developers and product verification & services teams to complete and improve documents.
- Dependent on your skills, you may be engaged into tasks in the area of, for example, information architecture, graphics editing, or documentation tools & production maintenance and automation.
- We work with the latest technologies, so with us, you will have the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and become a multi-talented technical user assistance expert. Our source formats are Markdown and DITA XML, depending on the project. We use both, DITA capabilities and software development SCM tools (Git, Gerrit) for source file versioning & variation and branch management.

**What is Nokia looking for from me**
You have:

- Some experience and a good understanding through your studies or your previous work experience about writing user assistance for software products; including a basic understanding about information design concepts and working with structured markup languages.
- Excellent skills in the English language, with excellent writing skills and strong attention to detail, as well as ability to gather and synthesize technical information.
- Strong work ethic, accountability and motivation; and ability to work well independently and with others, and to communicate clearly in a collaborative work environment. You are a curious, continuous learner, ready to learn and adopt new ideas, and to innovate and explore new territories.

It would be nice if you also had:

- Some experience with structured authoring tools
- Understanding of agile software development
- Some knowledge about version control systems and defect-tracking systems (e.g. JIRA), Cloud technologies or DevOps tools such as CI, Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, Docker.
