We have tremendous opportunity for someone looking to help lead our kitchen here at The West Town on Locke Street, Hamilton. Our head chef/kitchen manager Walter is retiring after 20 years here, and the business has never looked better. During Covid we completely renovated our kitchens, bathrooms, and built the nicest patio in the city.
We're looking to hire either one head chef to oversee the entire back of house, or a couple of talented, experienced chefs and divide the duties up as a team. Either way, we're prepared to pay top dollar. We've owned West Town for 32 years.

JOB DETAILS

**Job Title**: Chef/Kitchen manager
**Company**: The West Town Restaurant

We are looking for an experienced, qualified, head chef to organize and run the kitchen of one of the most established restaurants in the city.
Must be familiar with all aspects of running a kitchen, including:

- Communication with staff
- Ability to work and train others in all stations
- Scheduling back of house
- Create and cost menu items
- Production of soups, sauces and butchering meats
- Good knowledge of Health code
- Food handler's certificate

**Salary**: $20.08-$25.28 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 5 years (required)
