The Product Manager position is a highly visible and technical role within a dynamic, fast-paced, innovative software company with primary offices located in beautiful Denver, CO and Vancouver, BC. The position will report directly to the Director of Product Management within Generac Energy Services. This role will be measured on business goals associated with on-scope and on-time release of major software releases which deliver value to user experience feedback and scores tied to net promoter score measurements.
This position will include occasional travel within North America, Europe or Asia Pacific regions for key customer meetings, tradeshows, or technical conferences.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Product Strategy**: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Generac Energy Services' overall goals and objectives.
**Product Roadmap**: Define and prioritize features and enhancements for the software products based on market research, customer feedback, and business requirements.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support to drive product development and ensure successful product launches.
**Customer Insights**: Utilize data analytics and customer feedback to gain insights into customer behavior, preferences, and pain points, and leverage these insights to inform product decisions.
**User Experience**: Champion a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that software products deliver an exceptional customer experience.
**Agile Methodologies**: Implement agile methodologies to manage product development cycles, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
**Stakeholder Management**: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback.
**Market Analysis**: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in the energy sector to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
**Performance Tracking**: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of software products and drive continuous improvement.
**Compliance**: Ensure that software products comply with relevant regulations, standards, and security best practices.

**Minimal Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field. - 2 to 4 years of experience in product management, preferably in the energy industry or related field. - Experience with cloud-based technology stacks and software-as-a-service products.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- MBA or Masters degree in relevant field. - Demonstrated proficiency in crafting compelling business cases tailored to various stakeholders and customers, effectively communicating product and market insights. - Proven track record of successfully managing software products from concept to launch and beyond. - Proven expertise in leveraging market analysis to gain understandings into the competitive landscape, driving informed product development decisions. - Track record of successfully conceptualizing, developing, and launching innovative products through a collaborative, cross-disciplinary approach. - Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha). - Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and technology innovation.
