Cambridge, Canada Hofmann Industrial North America LTD Full time

Required Skills - Familiar with any of following:

- CNC Machining
- Large floor borer or vertical turning center experience (4 Meter and above)
- Large gear cutting experience on G & E or MAAG machines is preferred but not a requirement.
- Quality
- Measuring with height gauges, micrometers, dial indicators.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings of precision machined components including gears, shafts, couplings and power transmission components.
- Execute CNC programs on MAAG Machine
- Measure and verify quality produced at each step.
- Ensure programs meet or exceed efficiency and quality expectations.
- Track hours worked electronically in an ERP system.
- Perform basic machine maintenance as necessary.
- Maintain organized work spaces per 5S standards.
- Complete work in a Safe and Timely manner.
- Adheres to provincial and company safety regulations, practices and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by factory supervision

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of demonstrated CNC experience
- 3+ Years of GD&T demonstrated working experience
- Capable of operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Experience in editing CNC programs.
- Experience in setting up jobs on machinery.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Capable of working in a collaborative, team environment.

Education
- High School Diploma or GED, additional technical degrees preferred.
- General Machinist Certificate or CNC/GD&T training preferred.
- Experience in precision machining of large, high precision components preferred.
- Experience in gear and shaft manufacturing preferred.
- Reports To: Operations Manager
- Rate: $32-36 / hr, based on demonstrated skill level
- Vacation: provided, based on seniority
