**About this opportunity**:
We are looking for a Service Desk Summer Student to work in the Information Services Department for a term of 4 months, starting in May 2025. This role will support the company with assisting and troubleshooting for a variety of business units.

The IS Operations team is looking for an enterprising, diligent, self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to support the business by providing high-quality customer service to various departments within the company.

This position is based in-person, in our downtown Calgary office.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You will be providing functional support to employees in areas such as configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices.
- You will be creating end-user documentation and facilitating corporate learning for the enterprise information management tools.
- You will be collaborating with various operating units to assist with identification of business requirements and selection of applicable enterprise information tool.
- You will be diagnosing and resolving problems associated with software and operating systems; determine the source of issues and classify them based on priority level and urgency.
- You will be documenting incidents in the ticket management system and escalate issues to the IS team, as required

**Who you are**:

- You are currently enrolled in an Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Security, or related program.
- You are a motivated, hard-working, self-starter with a desire to learn and make an impact in a leading Oil and Gas company.
- You are confident in your written and verbal communication skills.
- You are able to effectively work in a team environment.

**To be eligible for a Paramount Resources student position, you must meet the following requirements**:

- You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- You are available to work the full duration of the work term
- You are currently residing in Calgary or willing to relocate for your work term
- You are legally entitled to work in Canada, without restriction by way of one of the following:

- Canadian Citizenship
- Permanent Residency
- Valid work permit
