Compensation: $28.00-$32.00 per hour + 9.6% (holiday pay/ in lieu general holiday pay), Benefits

Reporting directly to the grading Foreman. The grademan is responsible for grades, levels, layouts, setting checking and field surveying at work sites as well as directing employees and offering instructions in the absence of the foreman.

Functional Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets construction drawings.
- Able to read and understand grade stakes
- GPS experience would be considered an asset.
- The ability to operate various construction equipment would be considered an asset.
- Communicate with operators on grade requirements.
- Checks grades using GPS, string line, laser levels, and boning rods.
- Work with other crews when required.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and directions regarding standards of workplace behaviour in completing job duties and assignments.
- Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

- Minimum 3 years experience either in the grading or earthworks industry.
- Active Construction Safety Training System CSTS Certification.
- Active Ground Disturbance Certification.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- Must have own transportation.
- Must be able to work long hours and weekends.
- Must have CSA-approved safety boots.
- Must have the physical strength, stamina and coordination to complete the assigned duties
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. independently; more than 50lbs. with assistance Withstand working outside, on uneven ground, for long periods of time in different weather conditions Be able to stand, sit, bend, crouch for long periods of time Complete repetitive tasks for the duration of each shift
- CSTS 2020 certification required.
- First Aid certification, preferred.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

**Salary**: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
