A Brief Overview

Reporting to the Department Manager, The incumbent supports and administers the department's degree program, by working in collaboration with the course instructors and administrative team in the planning and coordination of large multi-sectional courses ensuring the seamless delivery and positive experience for all. The Program Associate researches and implements efficient methods for material distribution, communication, training, and course administration. Core responsibilities will include coordination of work, process and guideline development and interpretation, leadership, planning, and liaison/communications with other offices on campus.
The Program Associate will also act as a liaison with internal partners to help address processing delays when work demands exceed capacity. The incumbent will take the lead administrative role to plan and coordinate unit/department-wide tasks, training programs, activities and/or projects.
The incumbent is expected to have strong interpersonal skills to engage various users/partners to assist in the Department's daily operation and build consensus around potential solutions based on new process, policy, and technology.

This position reviews course content to ensure it is aligned with the learning objectives. This position identifies, recommends and implements measures designed to improve course content. This position also coordinates the schedules of the teaching assistants and lab facilitators, and monitors the work to ensure that course materials are revised, posted on time, accurate and reliable.

" What you will do
Reviews course content to ensure it is aligned with the learning objectives.

Identifies, recommends and implements measures designed to improve course content.

Analyzes and confirms the validity and reliability of all assessments.

Collects, analyzes, and reports on student experience surveys.

Maintains database of central course materials such as checklists, quizzes, lab guides, rubrics, and exam banks.

Coordinates the schedules of the teaching assistants and lab facilitators.

Monitors the work of instructors to ensure that course materials are revised, posted on time, accurate and reliable.

Coordinates safety instruction that is provided to students enrolled in lab courses.

Prepares classrooms for course delivery including identifying needed equipment repairs, storage, and lab inventory.
Acts as a resource and point of contact for course-related information.

Maintains accurate student records including lab attendance records, grade sheets, class, and lab lists.

Identifies and leads continuous improvement to processes and procedures.

Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit. Required Education
Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent. Required Experience
More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience. Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge and Requirements
Practical and applied knowledge of specialized methods and processes that are typically acquired through a combination of technical or academic qualification and/or work experience.

Lead procedural or technological change within a unit.
Identify new problems and seek information and input to fully understand the cause of problems.

Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.

Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
