**Your Opportunity**:
We are looking for a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our vibrant team at Edmonton Unlimited. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing strategic marketing and communication plans to enhance our brand, engage our community, and support our mission. This individual will be responsible for developing compelling narratives and promoting our brand through high-impact events and public relations campaigns.

**Marketing Communication Specialist Key Accountabilities**:
**Public Relations & Campaign Strategy**:

- Craft and execute strategic public relations campaigns that align with our organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, community organizations, and industry partners.
- Write and edit speeches, news releases, and other key messaging that convey Edmonton Unlimited’s mission and achievements.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless integration of all campaign materials, ensuring consistency across all communication channels.
- Act as the lead in organizing and promoting events that advance Edmonton Unlimited’s brand presence in the community.

**Event Promotions & Support**:

- Lead event promotion efforts, from developing promotional strategies to ensuring successful execution.
- Provide full event planning support, including managing logistics, registration platforms, attendee management, and on-site event coordination.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure that all event materials—speeches, presentations, marketing collateral—are aligned with campaign goals and messaging.

**Content Planning & Storytelling**:

- Work closely with the team to develop compelling storytelling strategies that reflect the Edmonton Unlimited brand and mission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all communication materials are cohesive and align with Edmonton Unlimited’s strategic goals.
- Write and edit high-quality content for newsletters, news releases, blogs, and presentations.
- Focus on storytelling across various formats to engage both internal and external audiences.
- Ensure that all written materials, from long-form reports to short-form promotional content, fit seamlessly with other campaign elements.

**Marketing Communications**:

- Design and implement comprehensive marketing communications strategies that focus on public relations, event promotion, and campaign execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that messaging is cohesive across all platforms and aligns with the broader campaign goals.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Act as a brand steward by ensuring that all communications materials reflect Edmonton Unlimited’s core values and mission.

**Your Credentials**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in marketing and communications with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Proven ability to write compelling speeches, news releases, and key communications that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working collaboratively across teams to develop seamless and consistent messaging.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong storytelling skills, with experience in developing creative narratives that support organizational goals and resonate with target audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Experience with HubSpot or other CRM tools is considered an asset.
