**What are we looking for?**

We are searching for an ambitious **Team Lead - Accounting** to join our growing Finance Team. This is a newly created role that will report to our Controller. Our financial function has had exponential growth over the last year both in headcount and scope of duties. We are looking for someone with excellent foundational skills in accounting and people management. You will manage a team of four day to day, some in person and some remote. We are heavily focused on acquisitions of other 3PLs, which brings complexity and opportunity for immense growth. We are a high-volume business; so, you will bring an obsessive need for accuracy, a high potential for juggling multiple initiatives and serious tenacity to grow and develop not only yourself but also your direct reports.

This role is highly cross-functional; you will interact with our sales and operations team daily, working to ensure accounts are up to date. Leveraging your excellent communication skills, you will frequently engage with our customers and the carriers we partner with across the business.

**To be** successful in this role, you bring**
- 5-10 years of accounting experience, with 1-2 years of people management experience in a fast paced or high-volume business
- You are ambitious and a self-starter. We are looking to hire a smart, ambitious individual and giving them as much responsibility as they can handle. We will push you to new levels
- You are both self-starting and self-directed in your day to day; you know where to focus your attention and produce results
- You can lead the accounting team’s overall performance coaching them to excellence and mentoring them when needed
- You're not afraid to get your hands dirty.**No task is too small, within a growing company, you will do what it takes to hit deadlines and deliverables. You'll put out fires when they (inevitably) pop up. You thrive under high pressure situations and enjoy keeping others calm, and on task.

You are adaptable but a sharp study who can thrive in a culture of change but applies their learnings and experience as we grow. Our business frequently extends beyond core business hours, so you will rise to the challenge to deliver what needs to be done.
