**Position Description**:
As a member of the Ambulatory Programs: Newborn Screening and Metabolic Genetics, the Patient Care Information Coordinator is responsible with the overall functioning of the clinic and patient care coordination. The Patient Care Information Coordinator is an integral member of the team by providing administrative functions in a proactive and organized manner. Rresponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**
- Supporting Newborn Screening/Metabolic Genetic processes and workflows
- Maintaining schedules, coordinating patient appointments and procedures
- Supporting registration and flow of patients within the clinic.
- Answering phone calls and responding to requests for information from families and healthcare staff.
- Facilitating communication flow via telephone, paging, and computer access
- Provide support to clinical team as needed

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- Minimum of 3 years clerical or administrative experience in a health care setting. Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
- Scheduling experience is essential and medical terminology is an asset.
- Accurate keyboarding skills and strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are required.
- Experience with Epic system
- Excellent problem solving skills that demonstrate an ability to anticipate potential issues and make suggestions
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with both fellow colleagues and patients.
- The ability to remain focused and prioritizes tasks in a busy and high stress environment.
- Dependability and good attendance is essential.
