Superior Glove Works Ltd. is currently seeking a **Network & IT Support Specialist** to work on-site from its global headquarters located in Acton, ON, Canada. You will be responsible for supporting all our SGW locations, including Acton ON, Point Leamington NL, Springdale NL, Honduras, Cheektowaga NY, and Edmonton AB.

**Job/Position Summary**:
Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the **Network & IT Support Specialist **is responsible for providing day-to-day support to the users within Superior Glove Works Ltd. for any system problems that they may encounter. The **Network & IT Support Specialist** will be responsible for network support issues, laptop-related problems, (software and hardware), and server and infrastructure related issues. Issues that cannot be resolved internally will be escalated to the appropriate support vendor to address.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assures that networking requirements are met with the highest level of performance and reliability by assisting the IT Infrastructure Manager in maintaining the hardware and software components of Superior Gloves Works networks.
- Maintains and manages IP addresses, DHCP servers, Domain Name Services (DNS), VPN, and other servers and software systems on both physical and VMware server environments.
- Maintains the integrity of the network by installing, upgrading, and maintaining network firewalls, switches, wireless, VPN, and other devices at current operating system levels as provided by the manufacturer, working with outside vendors to diagnose and resolve network problems, operating and configuring network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds to diagnose problems, analyzing packet captured data using network protocols to determine problems, and using network monitoring software to detect network conditions requiring corrective action or performance tuning.
- Be able to plan, design, and build out networks, by working with external vendors, and suppliers.
- Assists with the integration, maintenance, and problem resolution of network services and wiring infrastructures by working with other members of internal IT, vendors, and end-users including third-party contractors.
- Ensures accurate records are kept of network components, maintenance activities, network connections, accounts, and inventory.
- Be able to manage devices using Mobile Device Management system such as Microsoft Intune or SOTI MobiControl, to manage the deployment for computers, and mobile devices, such as RF scanners, tablets, etc.
- Helps to ensure the availability of computer resources by assisting with disaster prevention and recovery efforts caused by events like power outages, hardware failures, etc.
- Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
- Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, developing professional contacts with colleagues, attending professional development courses, and attending training and/or courses as directed by the IT Infrastructure Manager.
- Travel to other Superior Glove works remote office / warehouse locations.
- Contributes to the overall success of Information Services by performing all other essential duties as assigned.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Post-secondary Computer/Systems Diploma and/or Degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT Network Support role
- Good communication skills - verbal/written
- Able to work in highly collaborative atmosphere with team members and 3rd parties to deliver solutions
- Ability to problem solve technical issues with a strong sense of urgency
