We are a **growing** Design, Engineering & Manufacturing company based in South Surrey, with clients across North America. Our 40-person team manufactures everything from one-off products for the entertainment industry to high volume products, proprietary or not, that we market through distribution channels and end users in a variety of industries.
**We are actively seeking a motivated and energetic Production Coordinator who can plan and coordinate our production operations according to demand and quality standards. **The ideal individual has experience in manufacturing planning, purchasing and inventory management. This individual will have experience ensuring quality products are efficiently produced on time for our customers. This role will work closely with and report directly to the Production Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Create and edit the overall production schedule; communicate and distribute the schedule to all necessary stakeholders
- Schedule shifts and assign work to production personnel, according to production needs
- Purchase materials and supplies for production operations
- Forecast personnel and material needs for upcoming orders and work with others to ensure the necessary resources are available to satisfy production demand
- Prepare, distribute, collect and collate work orders, quality documentation and other production paperwork
- Ensure appropriate and accurate information from production operations is entered into company data management systems
- Monitor overall production levels and the status and expected completion of production orders; address issues when they arise
- Collect, collate and report production data
- Collaborate with administration, design/engineering, quality control, production and other staff
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as production scheduler in manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Great purchasing/sourcing experience in a manufacturing setting
- Good working knowledge of inventory management including safety stock program
- Experience using MRP software
- Working knowledge of MS Office suite, Outlook, etc
- Good at math and statistics
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Supervisory skills an asset
