**About the Position**
The HR Administrator is a member of the Human Resource team responsible for providing administrative support and full cycle recruitment services within the divisions under Carrington Group. In collaboration with the HR Generalist, this position will support and champion Human Resources initiatives that support the organizational goals.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Maintain and update software portals, including SharePoint, HRIS, and Applicant Tracking Systems, ensuring portals are functioning and updated with relevant content.
- Maintain updated employment files for all employees.
- Develop job posting and screen resumes based on search criteria as defined by Hiring Manager and conduct introductory phone interviews.
- Provide phone interview results to Hiring Manager along with recommendations.
- Schedule and attend interviews as required.
- Provide up-to-date inventory of job descriptions.
- Utilize social media to promote open positions and attract top talent.
- Provide backup for the HR Generalist with benefits administration.
- Create and file new employee documents in appropriate folder.
- Coordinate employee onboarding with payroll, IT and safety departments, providing documentation as required.
- Conduct new hire orientations and draft and send new hire announcements.
- Request for background checks through third party company and provide a summary of report to the Hiring Manager
- Ensure recruitment practices are compliant with employment legislation.
- Maintain job market awareness, and report on trends and market activities.
- Other duties within the Human Resources department as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Completed post secondary education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Labour Relations, or related academic field is preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of experience working within a Human Resource department, with focus on recruitment and HR administration is required.
- Previous, hands-on experience using HRIS software and/or Applicant Tracking Systems is preferred.
- Basic understanding of benefits and pension administration is desired.
- Work is performed at the work site. Remote or Hybrid work not available.
- Manual dexterity required to work with computers and peripherals
- Accuracy is crucial to the profitability to of the organization. Must possess strong and accurate data entry skills.
