Housekeeping Executive

Would be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department and breakfast department to a high standard of service, quality, cleanliness, observing all guidelines regarding infection control and local standards while assuring the highest degree of care.

Should be able to lead by example and ensure the housekeepers and breakfast attendants perform their duties effectively and efficiently ensuring the cleanliness of the guest rooms, public areas etc. in the hotel is as per Marriott Brand Standards.

The person should be able to assist during Brand Standard Audit.

Perform and ensure the following
- Daily briefings with housekeeping team and breakfast team
- Overseeing breakfast department, assist with inventory, cleaning, serving and ordering
- Cleaning and preparing Guest Rooms for the Guests and any other requirement as per Brand Standards.
- Check rooms before making them vacant ready.
- Deal with staffing issues and guide and help housekeeping staff to bring them up to standard.
- Provide training new staff
- Plan and complete rooms deep cleaning project
- Keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
- Notifying managers of necessary repairs, work closely with Engineering department
- Collecting and disposing of trash.
- Assisting guests when necessary.
- Keeping facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
- Maintaining pool area cleanliness.
- Using a computer to run the reports, review guests' feedbacks.
- Marriott Power Clean online certification.
- Any other duties entrusted by the management
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
- Supports and supervises an effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space.
- Understands the impact of department’s operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives and manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
- Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
- Supervises daily Housekeeping shift operations and ensures compliance with all housekeeping policies, standards and procedures.
- Schedules employees to business demands and for tracks employee time and attendance.
- Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.
- Observes service behaviors of employees and provides feedback to individuals.
- Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members
- Interviews and assists in making hiring decisions.
- Verifies that orientations for new team members are thorough and completed in a timely fashion.
- Train, supervise, schedule, develop, coach, discipline, associates in accordance with the hotels policies and procedures.
- Recruits and hires housekeeping staff; conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback for employees.
- Assists in controlling department budget and expenses.
- Assign projects, tasks to all associates and monitor progress.
- Responds quickly to guest requests/complaints in a friendly manner. Relays appropriate requests or complaints to the appropriate department. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping services and takes corrective actions.
- Inspect rooms, VIP rooms, show rooms, public spaces and back of the house in accordance with brand standards. Update room statuses and maintain inventory of rooms daily.
- Inventories stocks to ensure adequate stocks.
- Coordinate with Engineering the repair, maintenance as relates to guest rooms and public spaces. Report defects in rooms and public areas and follow up on resolution.
- Shift hours: 8:30am-4:30pm or based on business needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays if needed
- All other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
