**Payroll and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)**:

- Execute payroll processing tasks and oversee timekeeping responsibilities and ensuring accuracy.
- Assist in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to OHS policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) to enhance workplace safety measures. This involves completing JHSC training, preparing notes as the JHSC secretary, distributing agendas to all JHSC members, posting meeting minutes, and managing timekeeping responsibilities.

**Employee Relations and HR Administration**:

- Communicate effectively with staff at various levels and across departments.
- Manage employee relations activities, handling inquiries, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Prepare WSIB letters, submit Form 7 to WSIB for incidents, communicate with injured employees, and create early safe return-to-work programs.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations, facilitate the onboarding process.
- Draft and distribute official HR-related correspondence, maintaining appropriate records.
- Prepare offer of employment, job letters, and other HR-related documents as needed.
- Provide support in implementing HR policies, programs, and procedures.
- Uphold environmental best practices in line with company policies.
- Support performance management by maintaining employee records and assisting in performance appraisal processes.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, communication with benefit carriers, and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable/Receivables personnel on HR-related financial activities.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrate autonomy in work while seeking guidance from the HR Coordinator as needed.
- Effectively engage with individuals at all of the organization levels.
- Exhibit excellent time management, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Uphold confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive HR information.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification or coursework in HR management or related disciplines.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll administration and broader HR functions.
- Knowledge of Ceridian Powerpay and/or Dayforce an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
