**As ATB’s next Network Analyst, Data Center Infrastructure**, you will oversee Data Center activities, such as cable management, racking new hardware, calculating power consumption, and establishing processes and procedures as your primary job function. Your secondary responsibilities will include supporting Network Operations and Network Infrastructure related activities, such as supporting existing network technology in place at ATB, troubleshooting network related issues, and implementing newer networking technologies.
- Perform hardware installations (rack/stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing. Also, perform hardware decommissions and cable removal.
- Perform remote hands support (e.g. power cycles, physical environment, and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, testing of copper and fiber cables and enter troubleshooting commands).
- Oversees maintenance, cleaning, cooling, and power needs for the hardware and equipment room environment.
- Maintains inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware.
- Assists with shipping, receiving and distribution of equipment and hardware.
- Creates, updates, and maintains documentation for topology, policies, procedures and miscellaneous documents.
- Work closely with IT operations teams to support ATB network infrastructure, including implementing new network solutions and changing and monitoring network environments based on policies, standards, and best practices.
- Perform and assist in troubleshooting network-related events, and escalate issues to appropriate resources if needed.
- Collaborate with other branches within the Technology division and third-party vendors to achieve optimal network performance and recommend improvements.
- Document technical deployments, diagrams, and solutions that are easy to understand.
- Support virtual networks and Cloud network services. Keep up with advancements in network technologies and security solutions.
- Respond to network events detected by enterprise network systems within established SLAs with follow-up actions.
- Attend team meetings as required and Participate in the on-call rotation. The availability for network changes during weekends or after business hours is required.
- Coordinate network tasks with outsourcing support partners and implement changes, using ITSM practices and Change Management processes, in a timely manner. Liaise and follow up with outsourcing support partners to deliver final solutions when needed.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education or above in a technical field, such as IT network engineering or a related field, is preferred.
- Network Switching and Routing, network security practices including security devices (Firewall etc).
- Configuration, installation and maintenance of networking solutions and current public cloud provider network approaches.
- Monitor and resolve performance and/or stability issues. Perform troubleshooting and support of the infrastructure during complex problems
- Following up with established management practices to proactively forecast necessary coordination, work with vendors and partners.
- Ability to understand technical interdependencies between varying layers of infrastructure and make reasonable and logical judgements
- Possess strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with mínimal supervision
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience on LAN/WAN/Linux, strong familiarity with Cisco network technology.
- Familiarity with routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.
- Familiarity with Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) and SD-WAN concepts.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in GCP network management, VPC firewall rules, security policy, and cloud routing are preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) practices.
