**For full-time employees**:

Purpose of the position
The incumbent of this position will be responsible for reviewing and managing all elements of compliance related to the use of technology for the entire organization. This includes providing objective assessments of corporate governance and compliance with specific legislation and regulations governing the use of information technology. The specialist will also coordinate the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the organization's practices remain compliant with all relevant local, provincial, federal or international laws.

Job description
- Understand all applicable legal and compliance requirements relating to the company’s industry and remain updated on changes and developments;
- Coordinate the development, execution (technical implementation), and oversight of an effective compliance monitoring and testing program;
- Assess and analyze the regulatory and legislative environment to identify emerging issues and upcoming changes;
- Collaborate and engage with teams to identify areas of potential non-compliance;
- Develop and implement plans to correct instances of non-compliance in collaboration with regional teams;
- Review and suggest recommendations for customer service and other business units’ practices to ensure compliance with market practices and regulatory requirements;
- Ensure ongoing research, drafting, maintenance, updates, version management and dissemination of retail marketing disclaimers, including but not limited to privacy policies, cookies management and general terms and conditions;
- Anticipate and evaluate the technological evolutions imposed by the company’s strategy, the laws and limitations of systems and infrastructure both on the point of sale and on the administrative side.
- Negotiate and maintain relationships with various business partners and ensure that their contributions respect the needs and values of the company as well as applicable laws.
- Collaborate in project management with internal teams or subcontractors while ensuring the overall consistency of compliance projects and manage resource;
- Participate and establish technology guidelines, restrictions and objectives in regard to governing laws (Bill25, GDPR, PCI ).
- Propose, draft educational material and conduct regular employee trainings.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position and/or a role with analytical background, ideally in the retail industry;
- College or university studies in a related field;
- Bilingualism essential, both written and spoken (English and French);
- Knowledge of IT (Networks, Cloud computing, information systems, cybersecurity and database infrastructure);
- Knowledge and experience in compliance/testing and professional auditing/testing practices;
- Understanding of business technologies and their impact on compliance practices;
- Ability to effectively integrate business, operational, technological, communication and financial components in compliance and testing work;
- Good technical skills for solution implementation on different systems and solution design that will support the regulations;
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions to complex compliance, financial, communication or technical issues;
- Understanding regulatory and industry best practices relevant to the business, including technology implications;
- Ability to self-motivate and hold an entire organization accountable to regulatory standards;
- Demonstrated skills in project management, human resources management, partnerships and financial management;
- Meticulous working methodology, autonomous and detail oriented;
