**Hotel Front Desk Manager**

**Job Overview**
- Assists guests and owners in a friendly, proactive, efficient and timely manner with appropriate follow-up, as necessary.
- Knows all essential aspects of hotel operations.
- Collects payments from guests, ensures daily settlements are balanced.
- Monitors lobby and check-in and check-out activity.
- Works collaboratively with the hotel team, external resources, and regulatory agencies.
- Respond to online reviews appropriately, handle guest complaints and escalate if necessary.
- Supervises housekeeping, maintenance, security teams to ensure guest comfort and safety.
- Monitoring and controlling expenses/revenues.
- Hiring of all hotel staff.
- Provides training, coaching and evaluating new hires as well as current employees.
- Developing and implementing new procedures and policies to maximize revenues and organizational growth.
- Manages purchasing, supplies and inventory.
- Issuing and coordinating maintenance requests to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**
- Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and listening abilities.
- Flexibility to work varying and extended shifts.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Attention to detail ensuring an error-free work environment.
- Strong organization, leadership, communication, time-management and multitasking skills to lead, prioritize and to complete tasks on time.
- Strong problem-solving skills when dealing with guest and staff complaints/conflicts.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to perform some lifting with standing and bending at times.
- Strong communication skills, must be able to write and speak fluent English, other languages are preferable but not needed.
- 2-year experience as a hotel Front Desk Manager is required.

Salary range: $40,000 to $50,000 per year, plus performance bonuses

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hotel Management: 2 years (preferred)
