Maintain a fun and efficient workplace for employees
- Maintain and track human resources database and employee records
- Prepare human resources documents as required, including letters of employment, job offers, contracts, agreements, sub-contractor agreements, updating and creating company policies and procedures, approving vacation and personal time request, tracking time off etc..
- Responsible for all HR, from organization development, communication, employee relations, performance management and talent recruitment, retention and development.
- Participate in strategic planning and operations meetings and advise management of organization development.
- Implement a best practice approach to people management
- Development of site HR policies and procedures as needed, ensuring they meet legal compliance and are in line with the overall business aims and values
- Manage standard reporting processes as needed, ensuring both the accuracy and timely submission of data
- Advise management on basic compensation and benefits
- Manage payroll, commission tracking and hourly employees as well as ensuring year end adjustments are completed in ADP
- On board new employees and ensure adequate training and benchmarks are achieved
- Work with our company safety advisor and ensure that safety standards are maintained, tracking/investigating accidents and compiling statistics.
- Co-Chair safety committees
- Assist in maintaining and developing scope of work safety policies and assisting with any on site hazard assessments
- Respond to incidents and complete or collect necessary paperwork for company safety advisor
- Assist with project and job site activities related to health and safety.
- Good understanding of federal and provincial health & safety regulations

**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business ore a related discipline
- Significant experience in the field of human resources preferably in a construction setting
- Proven general capabilities in the competencies of communication, adaptability, planning and organizing, managing conflict and customer focus
- Certified Occupational Health and Safety designation, such as CRSP, CHSO, or equivalent work experience would be considered a strong asset

**Job Type**
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday to Friday (9-5)
