The BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre is a Registered Canadian Charity, created in 1996 to help individuals and families find their strengths as they develop resources and skills as to navigate their personal life. Located in Sherwood Park, Alberta, the BriarPatch is open to anyone in the Greater Edmonton Region. We are excited to be expanding our team with the following open contract part time positions:
**1** Registered Psychologist

**AND**

**1** Registered Provisional Psychologist

**OR**

**1** Registered Canadian Certified Counsellor

We are hiring for two counsellors to provide part time counselling support to our clients, who seek to live better lives by helping them develop problem-solving skills to address a variety of experiences. Our clients range from young children to seniors. We provide individual and family counselling, as well as group settings, self-help resources and connection to other community supports. All are welcome at our centre.

**Responsibilities of the Positions**
- Schedule patient consultations to help build client relationships
- Assess clients and identify their specific and unique needs
- Create and employ individual treatment plans
- Evaluate clients undergoing treatment and adjust wellness plans as needed
- Engage in discussions with clients and ensure they feel comfortable
- Record client information and manage confidential files
- A Masters Degree in Psychology OR Education OR Social Work
- Experience working with children, teens and adults
- Registration with applicable governing bodies
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Empathy and sensitivity with clients and their unique experiences
- Amazing diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability and desire to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to provide group settings with developed curriculum
- Openness to work with team members, including volunteers, to create new programs
- Openness to working varied hours, including some evenings and some weekends
