**Salary: $29.34 - $35.07/HR - 35 Hours per Week**

**Location: Naughton, ON**

**POSITION SCOPE**:
The Family Well-Being Worker will work towards reducing the number of families affected by Indigenous children and youth in the child welfare and youth justice systems by reducing the need to bring children into care. The Family Well-Being Worker is responsible to develop, coordinate and deliver programs and services that focus on the reduction of the occurrence of violence in families, and the improvement of the overall health and well-being of communities. This program is prevention focused, community-led, and will address the root causes of violence, trauma and over-representation of Indigenous children and youth in child welfare and youth justice systems. The Family Well-Being Worker will support families in crisis and help the community heal and recover from intergenerational violence and trauma.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University Degree in a health or social services discipline or
- Community College Diploma in a health or social services discipline
- Two years of work experience in the health or social services sector
- Experience working in an Aboriginal organization and/or community

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide prenatal and parenting workshops and supports
- Provide land-based youth and family programming
- Provide culture-based workshops and life skills support
- Provide system navigation and advocacy for the youth or family court system
- Provide individual or family-based programming on violence
- Adhere to First Nation policies, procedures and relevant practice.
- Comply with the federal and provincial Privacy Acts and Laws
- Ensure confidentiality and safekeeping of all First Nation documents and records
- Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date and concise case files
- Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and any other relevant legislation
