This role is responsible for prioritizing key responsibilities and clinical decisions. The Program Manager applies leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make decisions regarding management of the unit. Program Manager uses sound judgment, initiative and creativity to resolve issues brought forward by direct reports (Unit Manager), physicians, clients and/or other areas of care. This role is responsible for prioritizing key responsibilities and clinical decisions. Acts as a clinical resource to staff, residents, clients, and families in the provision of care. Seeks resolution on clinical matters that have not been resolved by unit leaders. In collaboration with the Senior Director, works collaboratively with zone leaders on matters related to program services and planning. Champions clinical practice changes within program and units. Establishes and/or ensures staff are following best practice standards. Maintains an effective relationship with physicians and other care providers. In collaboration with medical leaders, ensures appropriate functioning of clinical programs. Ensures that the intentions of the Resident Care Plans (RCP’s) are understood, and that they are implemented and reviewed and adjusted on an ongoing basis by staff and the care team. Serves on-call on a rotating basis. Champions and actively participates in improvement initiatives at the unit/program level, including leading improvement initiatives. This is a non-unionized position.

**Required Qualifications**:
A Bachelors Degree in Nursing or other applicable health profession (e.g. PT, OT, etc) is required. Must have at least 8 - 10 years progressively responsible continuing care experience as a regulated health care professional; five of which will have been in a supervisory/management level position.
