Preferred Designation, Experience, and Skills:

- Designation as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or Forester-in-training (FIT) in good standing with the Association of British Columbia Forest Professionals, or eligibility to become one with mentoring from our team of professionals.
- Project management/ leadership skills to coordinate team members and manage project expectations including personnel safety, project budgets, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to collect and summarize field data with a focus on accuracy, prepare professional reports, and provide peer reviews and quality assurance for project deliverables.
- Knowledge of pertinent legislation and standard operating procedures to ensure legal compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategic solutions in collaboration with team members.
- Class 5 driver’s license and submission of a current driver’s abstract.
- Certifications including S100 Basic Fire Training, WHMIS, and Occupational First Aid - Level 1

- Organized and proficient in developing/adhering to standardized work procedures and capable of problem solving.
- Capable of planning, time management, prioritization, the ability to adapt to changes throughout project implementation for enhanced results, and a commitment to producing deliverables on time and on budget.
- Enthusiasm for sponsoring other team members in acquiring professional designations, assisting in developing their areas of expertise, and pursuing opportunities for your own personal development.
- Willingness to take on supportive roles and responsibilities to demonstrate initiative and leadership, mentor less experienced staff, and effectively delegate and monitor tasks with the objective of continuous professional development for the team.
- Outdoor enthusiast with a moderate fitness level.
- Conversancy with MS Office Suite®. the Avenza Maps app, and processes for collecting field data on iPads.
