**Company Briefing**:Earth-Crete Ontario Inc. is gearing up for the 2023/2024 construction season and we are looking to hire an experienced GPS Operator (TOPCON)/Gradesman to join our team. We specialize in all aspects of civil construction including, but not limited to; site servicing, site remediation, bulk earth moving, road construction, and concrete construction. Through precision and meticulous planning, we strive to complete all projects in a quick and efficient manner. We are a family owned and operated business that has established ourselves as a leading provider of both heavy civil construction and concrete construction within the Northumberland County and Bay of Quinte Areas. **Tasks/Responsibility**:

- Manage all surveying operations
- Contributes to the day-to-day activities of a construction crew in the performance of various types of construction layout, data collection and field measurements with only moderate supervision
- Collects field notes and records information daily, and maintains construction logbook for contractor payment purpose
- Operate TOPCON GPS system
- Performs other duties as assigned by site Foreman/Project Manager
- Accurately check grades with laser level
- Set-up pipe laser and manage slope for all pipe laying operations
- Manage grades/quantities within a variety of tasks such as: mass dig, pipe laying, road building
- Localize GPS system prior to project start-up
- Track daily/weekly/monthly quantities
- Responsible for coordinating as-built information as required with contract administrator
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Communicate daily with project management team
- Responsible for survey calculations and plan review

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of GPS experience
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics or Surveying considered as asset
- C.E.T designation considered an asset
- Self-motivated
- Able to work alone on project start-up
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An understanding of AutoCAD software considered an asset
