Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of talent acquisition strategies that foster a high-performance, employee-centric culture focused on innovation, collaboration and customer satisfaction.

This is a high profile role as sourcing efforts will have an immediate impact on the company’s continued growth and employer brand recognition.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leads talent acquisition efforts by conducting the full recruitment process for both local and international needs (including assessing cultural fit)
- Initiates, develops and implements recruitment plans to ensure that hiring deadlines are met;
- Seeks and suggests continuous improvements to the processes and practices that guide our talent acquisition efforts;
- Supports the development and implementation of a strong and compelling employer brand that positions Vortex as an employer of choice;
- Helps define and execute Vortex’s branding initiatives, including recruitment events, job fairs, media campaigns, etc.
- Seeks, establishes and maintains alliances (internship and co-op programs) with educational or business institutions to find future talent;
- Works with business leaders to provide them with the expertise, tools and processes to attract and recruit the right talent to the organization;
- Writes notices to the company regarding new hires / reorganization as required;
**Skills and Competencies**:

- Demonstrated success in generating and developing a pipeline of top talent;
- Proactive by nature, with strong communication skills;
- Able to maintain a high sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy and detail;
- Excellent organisational skills, including planning and time management. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; can manage multiple tasks, prioritise and adapt to changing priorities;
- Good understanding of social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) and ability to use these tools for sourcing methods;
- Effective oral and written communication;
- Experience of recruiting in different markets and supporting managers working remotely would be an asset;
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all processes, policies and procedures related to staffing;
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite programs;
- Experience with an applicant tracking system;
- Fully bilingual, French and English;
**Experience and Training**:

- 2+ years in a progressive recruitment role in a corporate environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
