- In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Registered Care Aide provides resident care in accordance with resident-centred care philosophy and established regional and facility policies and procedures. As part of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction of the Manager or designate, the Registered Care Aide performs nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration in addition to resident care duties relating to activities of daily living, including personal, social, physical and recreational needs. Transports residents and performs clerical duties.**Shift Rotation/Hours of work**: Days, Evenings, Nights; 06:45 to 14:45, 06:45 to 12:45, 14:45 to 21:45, 22:45 to 06:45**Parkside Intermediate Care Home** is a one storey facility that houses 58 residents in single occupancy rooms; each room has its own washroom. There are three separate wings, the 300 and 400 wing house 22 rooms each and the 200 wing has 14 rooms. At the end of the 300 and 400 wing there is a private sitting area for residents/family. Recreation Therapy is provided on site, which provides activities such as hymn-sing, school visits with the elderly, choral groups.**Prince George** has a population of 89,490 (2021) local residents and is a service centre for approximately 320,000. **Qualifications**
Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.**Skills and Abilities**:
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
