**Role Overview**:
As the Area Manager - Traffic Services, you will be responsible for the strategic management of our traffic control services. Your role encompasses overseeing contractor relationships, enhancing client experiences, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of safety. Your strategic thinking and leadership will drive the success of our traffic operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Traffic Services: Build strong contractor relationships, assess client needs, and forecast traffic control requirements for future growth opportunities.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for effective traffic control management.
- Safety Culture: Instill a culture of safety, emphasizing personal protective equipment and adherence to protocols.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitor behavior.
- Account Management: Cultivate relationships with vendors and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Liaise with Sales, HR, Health and Safety, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Human Resources: Lead, mentor, and provide corrective action for direct reports. Collaborate with our in-house Recruitment team during traffic employee interviews.
- Finance and Reporting: Budget traffic service costs, generate usage reports, and deliver comprehensive project status updates.
- KPI Development: Create KPIs, provide insightful reports, and leverage data for continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Develop SOP documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- 5-7 years of professional experience, ideally in operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Track record of effective leadership and team management.
- Proficiency in planning, resource allocation, and project management.
- Budget management and financial acumen.
- Previous experience in traffic control is a plus.
