**Title**: Non-Profit Bookkeeper

**Job Summary**: As a Non-Profit Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the financial records of Cyrus Centre Ministries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and the integrity of our financial data, supporting our mission to show God’s love with practical and relational care to youth and families in need.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Financial Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
- **Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Manage all accounts payable and receivable aspects, ensuring timely payment of invoices and efficient collection of revenues.
- **Budgeting and Reporting**: Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- **Payroll Management**: Process payroll, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- **Financial Analysis**: Perform financial analysis to support management decisions and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- **Audit Preparation**: Assist in preparing for annual audits, ensuring all financial records are in compliance with accounting standards.
- **Donation Tracking**: Accurately track and record donations, grants, and other sources of funding.
- **Compliance and Regulations**: Ensure adherence to financial policies and compliance with relevant governmental and financial regulations.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a non-profit setting with a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Successfully completed courses in Bookkeeping levels 1 & 2.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage50) and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office 365 and CRM donor database systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
**Work Environment**: This role operates on-site at our administration office in Abbotsford. Regular business hours are expected, with occasional after-hours during busy periods, such as events (4 times a year), fiscal year-end, or audits.
We interact daily with vulnerable persons who struggle with poverty, addictions, and mental health issues. The right individual for this position will excel as a bookkeeper and have a heart of compassion for vulnerable youth.
