Assistant Bookkeeper

**Overview**:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative and Bookkeeping Assistant to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a corporate group, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting the finance team in various administrative tasks. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and some knowledge of bookkeeping using QuickBooks.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain an efficient filing system for multiple companies, ensuring all documents are accurately stored and easily retrievable.
- Monitor and record expenses, ensuring all financial transactions are documented and categorized correctly.
- Perform general administrative duties, such as filing documents, managing correspondence, and handling phone inquiries related to financial matters.
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks, including entering transactions, processing invoices, expense reports, and monthly cheque runs.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
**Qualifications**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and vendors.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in both administrative and bookkeeping tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Previous experience in administrative roles and bookkeeping is an asset, preferably with exposure to both areas in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and office software is an asset
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
