Position Overview:
The Logistics Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting our logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient movement of products throughout the supply chain. This position is ideal for an individual who is organized, proactive, and has a keen eye for detail. This is a Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday position where overtime is available if required.

Please find the key responsibilities of the Logistics Assistant as follows:

- Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely deliveries.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging materials for outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
- Monitor transportation schedules and track shipments to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Communicate with third-party logistics providers and carriers to ensure smooth transportation.
- Perform data entry tasks to update inventory records and shipment information.
- Assist in resolving any logistics-related issues, such as delays or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized logistics workspace, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and contribute to maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Support the implementation of logistics improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant post-secondary education is a plus.
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Proficiency in using computer software and tools for tracking shipments and managing inventory.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and transportation providers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to contribute ideas for process improvement.
- Physical capability to handle packages, lift moderate weights, and operate warehouse equipment.
