BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo) is seeking an energetic and creative Communications Specialist to help deliver our internal and external communications strategies for the overall organization.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Communications and Community Engagement while also working closely with the communications and marketing teams at BC Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre.

You will be accountable for supporting the delivery of our communications strategies, with a strong focus on internal communications to our team members and supplier partners, and our community engagement and hosting activities.

This is a great role for a compelling storyteller and writer who is early in their career and looking to grow and build their experience in an exciting and dynamic corporate communications role.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Support the delivery of our internal and external communications strategies for PavCo, and our venues - BC Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre.
- Support the delivery of our employee communications strategy, including managing our internal communications content calendar, creating compelling storytelling opportunities and content for our intranet, and assisting our leadership team with their employee engagement activities.
- Work alongside our People and Culture department on implementing our wider employee engagement strategy, including keeping our employees updated on benefits, policies and other updates.
- Support the delivery of our community engagement and hosting strategy, including telling our story of how we benefit British Columbians, the coordination of our stakeholder contact lists, the development and distribution of event invitations, and tracking our community activities for reporting purposes.
- Provide general writing and copyediting support on PavCo documents, including government reports, briefing notes, and annual submissions including Service Plans and Annual Reports.
- Support PavCo’s overall communications activities, as required, including media relations and monitoring, issues management, video and photography creative assets, and social media.
- Provide on-site communications support for events, and across the organization, as required.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**:

- Completion of a university degree in communications or related area of study, or a combination of education and experience.
- Two or more years of relevant experience in corporate communications and knowledge of communications best practices and principles.
- Demonstrated experience in communications planning, employee communications and developing presentations.
- Creativity and a gift for compelling storytelling, with the initiative to proactively seek out new ideas for internal and external communications content.
- Strong writing skills and proven ability to create clear, concise messaging for various audiences.
- A curious mind, the ability to learn quickly and the desire to take on whatever work is sent your way.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
- A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the work done with your colleagues.

The salary range for this position is $ 54,120 - $67,650.
