**Brief Description**:
The SEED is a community food project of the Guelph Community Health Centre. About 16% of households in Guelph are food insecure (Guelph Wellbeing study, 2014). The SEED’s goal is to change that by offering programs and services that tackle the root causes of poverty. We are supported by hundreds of amazing community members and by many partner organizations. The SEED delivers community programs that address the causes and effects of food insecurity. Our vision: A community where everyone has access to nutritious food.

The Grocery Pack Lead is a critical role within our team that includes a Customer Service Lead, Delivery Drivers, and Grocery Packers who collectively ensure we are delivering on our promise of high quality, accurately packed and delivered nutritious foods directly to customers’ homes twice per week. As the Grocery Pack Lead you will oversee the following aspects of the program:

- Supervision of pack volunteers (weekly scheduling, onboarding, point of contact) and packing Assistant(s)
- Pack Line Oversight which includes setup, tear down, preparing pack sheets, determining and communicating pack day assignments
- Inventory Management including receiving and storing food, quality and date checks, inventory counts and updating E-commerce platform
- Improve efficiency, by listening to volunteer and staff feedback
- Ensuring how-to docs remain current
- Manage and order pack supplies

**Qualifications**
- Able to work Wednesdays and Thursdays during the day
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service including working with diverse groups and populations
- Able to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public
- Able to self-direct, and support problem-solving
- Able to work outdoors in varied conditions - able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
