JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the transportation of all inbound materials (cans, cartons, brewing ingredients). From suppliers across North America to our breweries and repack sites located throughout Canada.
- Leads team of transport group mangers on day-to-day execution of inbound material shipments
- Main point of contact for all inbound material transportation inquiries and updates
- Works with breweries to minimize material related disruptions to the production plan
- Develops and manages relationship with transportation carriers across all lanes
- Tracks and reports out on KPIs daily, weekly, monthly
- Reduce cost escalations related to transportation through initiatives such as award carrier compliance and accessorial charge reduction
- Supports the implantation of transportation technologies such as TMS (BY/JDA) and Track and Trace.
- Develop plans to ensure compliance with Environment & Safety, HACCP, and Quality teams
- A diverse position that impacts stakeholders within brewery operations, supply chain logistics, and multiple external stakeholders
- Operates in a fast-paced environment and requires flexibility to deal with multiple, and sometimes, diverging priorities simultaneously.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: University degree preferably in Business, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years Logistics experience in warehousing, transport, and logistics support. Proven leadership skills, with good business sense. Proven ability to manage interpersonal relationships through the reporting structure.
- Proven ability to achieve superior results. Ability to lead and develop talent in a changing environment. Proven experience in warehouse and transportation management.
- Solid understanding of distribution and customer service, beer industry and all key cost drivers.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems and computer languages such as SQL preferred
