**Summary**

**Working at Fanshawe College**Note**: This is a part-time temporary Faculty position (up to 6 hours per week).
- The School of Digital and Performing Arts is looking for qualified Part-time Professors to teach courses in the User Experience Design program.**Qualifications**

**GENERAL**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- College or university level teaching experience preferred
- Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Exceptional presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Works independently and collaboratively as part of an academic team
- Relates effectively to a wide variety of learners
- Capable to teach in-person on campus
- Contributes to and support the program’s and Fanshawe’s college continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with educational technologies (LMS) are preferred
- Collaborates effectively with faculty members on curriculum and uses educational technology - specifically our learning management software FanshaweOnline
- Demonstrates commitment to enhancing equity, inclusion, and diversity by creating a positive learning environment which accommodates students’ diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and learning styles
- Engages students in experiential education opportunities
- Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and leading innovation

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 5 years’ diverse, recent, and relevant industry experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
- Knowledgeable in how to develop the customer journey and creating persona’s
- Skills in facilitating focus groups and user testing experiences sessions
- Expertise in UX software such as Miro, Figma, or Confluence
- Has networking relationships with industry contacts
- Research experience is an asset
