Network Analyst, Enterprise NetworksAs ATB's next Network Analyst, Enterprise Networks, you will oversee campus enterprise and core networks as well as data center activities such as racking and stacking hardware, cable management, coordinating access, and documenting processes and procedures. Other responsibilities will include supporting Network Operations and Network Infrastructure related activities, such as supporting existing network technology in place at ATB, troubleshooting network related issues, and implementing newer networking technologies.
- Accountabilities- Perform hardware installations (rack/stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating, structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing. Also, perform hardware decommissions and cable removal.
- Perform remote hands support (e.g. power cycles, physical environment, and cabling inspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, testing of copper and fiber cables and enter troubleshooting commands).
- Oversees maintenance, cleaning, cooling, and power needs for the hardware and equipment room environment.
- Maintains inventory and labeling of equipment and removal of decommissioned hardware.
- Creates, updates, and maintains documentation for topology, policies, procedures and miscellaneous documents.
- Work closely with IT operations teams to support ATB network infrastructure, including implementing new network solutions and changing and monitoring network environments based on policies, standards, and best practices.
- Perform and assist in troubleshooting network-related events, and escalate issues to appropriate resources if needed.
- Collaborate with other branches within the Technology division and third-party vendors to achieve optimal network performance and recommend improvements.
- Document technical deployments, diagrams, and solutions that are easy to understand.
- Support virtual networks and Cloud network services; keep up with advancements in network technologies and security solutions.
- Respond to network events detected by enterprise network systems within established SLAs with follow-up actions.
- Attend team meetings as required and Participate in the on-call rotation. The availability for network changes during weekends or after business hours is required.
- Coordinate network tasks with outsourcing support partners and implement changes, using ITSM practices and Change Management processes, in a timely manner. Liaise and follow up with outsourcing support partners to deliver final solutions when needed.
- Skills, experience & requirements- Possess over three years of hands-on experience with Enterprise Networks. In particular, familiarity with implementing, supporting and troubleshooting Cisco infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with LAN and WAN technologies such as MPLS, SD-WAN, Spanning-tree and Nexus vPC.
- Experience with routing protocols, such as OSPF and BGP.
- Possess a Cisco CCNA certification at a minimum.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) practices.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal abilities alongside articulate oral and written communication skills
- Possess experience with ITIL best practices for incident management, problem management, and change management.
