Program Facilitator, Entry to School

ConnectWell Community Health is seeking a paraprofessional in one of the following areas: Early Childhood Educator, Communicative Disorders Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Child and Youth Worker or ABA Therapist. This is a 1 year, full-time contract at 35 hours per week, which includes employee benefits and enrollment in HOOPP. ConnectWell is looking to add you to our Entry to School program team
**Position Summary**:ConnectWell Community Health partners with ACT Learning Centre to provide the Entry to School Program in Lanark, Leeds & Grenville Counties (a school readiness program funded under the Early Years Pillar of the Ontario Autism Program). Our Program Facilitators lead the Entry to School classrooms at our site in Brockville.
**Qualifications**:
- A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Communicative Disorders Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Behavioural Science
- Experience in the early learning or school classroom setting providing direct support to students
- Demonstrated ability and proficiency in working collaboratively with a variety of professionals (i.e., regulated providers such as Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behavioural Analysts and other community partners)
- Knowledge of early communication development and behavioural strategies
- Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming practices
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication
- Highly dedicated, with excellent attendance and reliability
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead an Entry to School classroom of autistic pediatric clients as part of a program team
- Work collaboratively with a team of supervisory professionals (SLP, OT, BA)
- Creatively problem-solve to provide individualized accommodations and support to clients
- Other program duties as assigned outside of classroom program hours
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
