**Role Overview & Your Impact in this Role**

In this role, you will review, develop, and document approaches to building code compliance related to Fire Protection and Life Safety Building Code requirements. This role will be primarily in support of our work as the Independent Code Compliance Consultant for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority and our growing list of Federal and Provincial partners. You’ll also make an impact on our code consulting work, which includes performing plans examination, conducting inspections of construction, alternative solution reviews for compliance with applicable building code requirements, and conducting research to identify building codes issues, and evaluate compliance with the fire protection and life safety aspects of the National Building Code and the Ontario Building Code.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Professional Engineer, Registered Architect or technologist (or training/eligible to become one) and/or BCIN qualified for complex buildings
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of Part 3 of the National Building Code of Canada and/or Ontario Building Code, as well as the fire protection principles and background that form the basis of these codes
- Ability to understand and discuss issues with owners, tenants, contractors, and designers
- Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and site plans
- Eligible to obtain Transport Canada and/or Government of Canada security clearances
- Drivers license and regular access to a vehicle
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and client-relation skills
