Dessert Pastry Chef/baker

**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare a diverse range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and other confections, following established recipes and developing new desserts as needed.
- Ensure the consistent quality of all dessert items, including presentation and taste.
- Operate and maintain dessert-specific baking equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Monitor inventory levels of dessert ingredients and supplies and place orders as necessary.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine dessert menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment focused on dessert preparation areas.
- Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff, particularly in dessert-specific techniques and standards.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or dessert-focused baker in a professional kitchen or bakery.
- In-depth knowledge of dessert creation techniques, specialty ingredients, and dessert-specific equipment.
- Ability to follow dessert recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, emphasizing dessert production.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality dessert standards.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with a specific focus on dessert-related collaboration.
- Certification from a culinary school focusing on pastry arts or dessert preparation is a plus.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift heavy objects when necessary, particularly in dessert production.
