Job Summary
The Program Manager of The Well reports to the Director of Programs and is responsible for ensuring high quality service delivery. The Program Manager supervises the program support workers and provides strategic oversight into all aspects of daily operations. The Program Manager will collaborate with the Director of Programs to help build relationships with community partners to enhance the support available to the people we serve.
The Program Manager oversees the professional development of program employees and ensures the program aligns with Belong Ottawa’s strategic plan. They will cultivate relationships with stakeholders and attend meetings in the community to represent the program as required. They will implement organizational initiatives, training and development plans and oversee resources for staff and program success, and in collaboration with the Director of Programs, participate in financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial and other data collection and reporting.

**Responsibilities**:
Program Delivery
- Works alongside the Social Support Workers to ensure service delivery is aligned with organizational values, harm reduction principles and the strategic plan.
- Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders and community partners.
- Acts as an ambassador of the Day Programs and represents the organization. positively within the community.
- Oversee the daily operations of the program and ensure overall quality of service delivery.
- Works with the Director of Programs to develop a strategy to improve the overall quality of programs and services and overseas the execution of this strategy.
- Ensures the program stays within budget, tracks, and reports expenses
- Tracks program service delivery data including incidents and reports to Director of Programs in accordance to Belong Ottawa methods and systems.
- Organizes and chairs team meetings and Joint Occupational Health and Safety meetings as required.
- Stay abreast of community trends and legislative updates to ensure programs and services are compliant.
- Works in collaboration with other Program Managers and Director of Programs to schedule program support workers to ensure safe staffing levels across three programs.

Personnel Management
- Works in collaboration with HR Partners and Director of Programs to support recruitment, selection and hire of Social Support Workers and other frontline workers as required.
- Assesses the current and future need for staff and volunteers within the program and advises the Director of Programs to meet ongoing staffing needs.
- Seeks out and implements training and development opportunities for staff based upon organizational and programming needs.
- Holds regular supervision meetings and conducts performance appraisals for social support staff.
- Supports staff with the maintenance of mandatory training requirements such as PVCR Level 3, First Aid and CPR, Food Handlers and other training as required.
