**SUMMARY**

The Buyer contributes to procurement operations and supplier contract management activities within BCFSA. This role involves conducting thorough reviews of upcoming contracts, recommends approvals, and creates/maintains an inventory of third-party service providers. This role also plays an important role in the development and implementation of a new Vendor Management Framework.

- Proactively refreshes the vendor inventory to ensure up-to-date information is accessible to users.

- Applies critical thinking to identify problems in procurement processes, finding underlying causes of issues, and develop solutions promptly.
- Identifies potential risks associated with vendor service delivery and recommends solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Makes informed decisions responsibly, considering both the immediate result and long-term implications of these decisions.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Conducts comprehensive reviews of all service agreements to confirm service delivery aligns with BCFSA’s requirements.
- Conducts point-in-time reviews of service delivery risks for service level agreements (“SLA’s”) and memorandums of understanding (“MOU’s”) with third-party service providers.
- Assists in the development of a Vendor Management Framework that operationalizes the ongoing review of vendors based on service criticality.
