We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team at Oakwood Resort. As a Line Cook, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation are maintained. You will work collaboratively with our talented chefs to create exceptional dishes that delight our guests.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and guidelines provided by the head chef.
- Execute food orders efficiently and accurately during service, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
- Ensure that all food products are handled, stored, and prepared safely and in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with food preparation and mise en place as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a resort or upscale dining establishment.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary degree or certification from an accredited culinary institution is a plus.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
