**Project and Position Description**

This project is designed to build organizational financial and professional development capacity post COVID-19 pandemic and to respond to its emerging needs considering the shifting to digital service delivery and the need to re-brand the organization to suit the new norm of service delivery.

A Social Media Specialist is responsible for creating and publishing content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow an audience, build brand awareness, and ultimately, boost organization exposure to public. This job may require also oversee site metrics, interact with readers, and be responsible for creative design. A Social Media Specialist should understand the targeted audience for each social channel, creating persuasive content that intrigues intended audience, and boost interactions of each channel.

**Responsibilities**

The Social Media Specialist is expected to:

- Develop 5 - 10 year social media marketing plans after conducting competitive research, platform determination, and audience identification. This plan is tailored for each program by utilizing expertise in creating digital marketing content and audio/video editing.
- Plan, create, publish and share new content (including original text, images, video, and code) that builds meaningful customer connections, increases brand awareness, and encourages community members to engage with the brand.
- Establish important metrics and KPIs to create engaging content. Set up and optimize organization pages within each platform to increase the visibility of organization’s social content. Capture and analyze the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and social media best practices
- to measure the success of every social media campaign, then use that information to refine future campaigns.
- Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing. Promote brand awareness through a digital presence. Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop social media campaigns.
- Work in collaboration with the Funding Specialist to strategize and achieve organizational social media goals. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and the Project Evaluator. Comply with the organization’s policies and procedures. Adhere to program specifications and requirement.

**Qualifications**
- BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations.
- Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Digital Media Specialist.
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
- Possession of a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs as well as communication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Own, reliable transport is preferable.
- First aid training is advantageous.
- Able to efficiently work independently and as a team player.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour

All clients and staff has to wear mask if they come to the office, sanitize the working station on regular basis, etc.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

- Social media management: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
