POSITION OVERVIEW
The Social Media Content Manager is responsible for driving the overall strategy and content plan of McCormick social media channels to increase engagement and drive 1:1 relationships with consumers. In addition to driving the content plan for each brand they oversee; they will also support creative campaigns coincide internal and agency partners. This person will also manage one Social Media Community Specialist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

**SOCIAL EDITORIAL PROCESS**: Leads monthly social media content planning to support business objectives for assigned brands. Ensures all social posts (both assets and copy) meet social best practices, aligns with established Brand Tone of Voice, and is consistent with business priorities.

**SOCIAL CONTENT DEVELOPMENT**: Work in partnership with internal content team (copywriter, photographers, videographer, graphic designer, animator) and agencies to develop best-in-class social content for both organic and paid social media distribution. Attend pre-production meetings and photoshoots to ensure all content is aligning to social best practices and brand tone of voice. Also leads quarterly content brainstorms with internal content team to drive new creative ideas on a regular basis.

**MEDIA**: Participates in media planning process, working with campaign leads to recommend content (both top-performing and new ideas) to be used in paid social campaigns. Work with media agency to ensure all paid social content is trafficked on time.

**COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT**: Manages 1 Social Community Specialist and supports all monitoring and response efforts for assigned brands.

**ANALYTICS AND REPORTING**: Execute reporting on a quarterly basis, pulling insights such as average engagement rate, total impressions and total follower growth across all brands and platforms. Develop ongoing project-specific recaps for Senior leadership.

**TRENDS**: Stay up-to-day on current industry trends and social media platform capabilities, recommending new, innovative ways to connect with our consumers through social media.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media, Marketing, or Communications field
2-3 years relevant work experience or related internships.
Detail-oriented, deadline driven, and able to handle a high-volume workload
Creative
- ability to bring new ideas to the table
Experience working with many cross-functional team members across the organization
Strong knowledge of native social insights tools (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) and is able to adapt easily with platform changes. -Willingness to react and respond in a timely manner
Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and new platform innovations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Language skills or understanding of Canadian English and Canadian French
Experience working with brands across multiple regions
Experience working with multiple brands with unique styles and tones of voice
Experience in CPG food industry
Experience in Paid Social Media
