Today our work includes a mix of painting, wall covering, sandblasting and coatings to institutional, commercial, big box retail and high-rise residential projects. **THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Warehouse, Equipment and Shop Coordinator looks after the daily operations of the equipment and materials warehouse (shop), and the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment for projects. The scope of the position applies to the company’s head office location, but also provides management oversight to other regional offices.

**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintains efficient and safe organization and inventory of paint and wall covering materials in the shops, both new and returned from job sites, including thorough record keeping.
- Receives equipment and materials delivered to the shop, providing timely notification to project staff.
- Plans for and orders materials and equipment to meet project requirements
- Manages vehicle fleet including licensing, insurance, scheduled and on-demand maintenance, vehicle inspections, and driver certification.
- Manages equipment and major tool inventory, including allocation and location tracking.
- Performs minor repairs, servicing, and cleaning of equipment, and coordinates major equipment repairs with service providers.
- Facilitates training in the proper and safe usage of equipment, utilizing external vendors and specialists as required.
- Sources additional or replacement equipment and major tools.
- Disposes of surplus materials and equipment in an effective and safe manner, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Supports project superintendents as required in the transport of equipment and materials between the shops and job sites.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of power tools and small equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with both project and office staff.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, reflected in ability to maintain sound communication with co-workers, clients, and all stakeholders.
- Must have a valid and active BC Drivers License.
- Strong computer skills with good understanding of Microsoft Excel.

**BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Vehicle Fleet Management
- Experience in maintaining and operating equipment and power tools.
- Construction materials and tools procurement and management.

**REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES AND CAPABILITIES**
- The ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Highly organized, with the ability to maintain good and complete records and documentation.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to lift or move heavy objects.
- A strong commitment to the safe operation and storage of vehicles, equipment, and materials.
